ISORG board member of the Sustainable Electronics Manufacturing (SEM) Working Group


The SEM Working Group is an industry-wide initiative, involving key international publications, events and associations to collaborate on and support a radical change in the paradigms of electronics manufacturing.
Advocating for a new philosophy of sustainability, it invites the players of the electronics industry to voluntarily embrace environment friendly measures for the sake of driving the market while preserving the planet.

In 2011, the Sustainable Electronics Manufacturing (SEM) Working Group will gather on the occasion of four cornerstone appointments:
- SEM Working Group Kick-off Meeting in Las Vegas, on the occasion of IPC Apex Expo (April 13)
- "Electronics Day" in Nuremberg on the occasion of SMT (May 4)
- "Electronics Day" in Milan on the occasion of Sustainability Summit Sessions 2011 (November 3)
- SEM Working Group Appointment in Munich on the occasion of Productronica (November 16)

The SEM Working Group inaugurated its activities, supported in its efforts by the media partners and partnering events, at the "Electronics Day" held in Milan on 17 November 2010. As illustrated during the inaugural "Electronics Day", an Advisory Board of prestigious representatives from the different segments of the electronics industry has been created to support the activities of the SEM Working Group.

Jean-Yves Gomez, CEO of ISORG, is member of the SEM Advisory Board, as representative player of the Printed and Organic Electronics industry, positioned as new technology for a greener electronics.
