ISORG has developed several technology prototypes to demonstrate possible applications and usages for the organic photodetectors and image sensors.

These demonstrators have been exposed in many exhibitions worldwide and are available to customers.

 

         

The latest development is the first plastic image sensor on plastic in the world in joint cooperation with FlexEnable company  (in charge of the organic thin-film transistor backplane). This demonstrator illustrates future product developments for large area image sensor and scanning surfaces for medical, diagnostics, industry and security markets.

ISORG has developed the flexible slider integrating plastic photodetectors for on/off, hand proximity detection and motion detection. Functionality is based on detection by printed photodetectors of infra-red light reflected by the hand (and emitted by low profile LEDs mounted on the plastic strip). This demonstrator illustrates applications of organic photodetectors for innovative user interfaces based on touchless interaction and gesture recognition for connected objects and wearable devices. 
It also illustrates the system-on-foil integration combining plastic electronics, discrete components and integrated circuits. System-on-foil enables new product design based on flexible and conformable electronics.

ISORG has joined the PRINTOO program launched by Ynvisible company to provide the Flexible Slider to the printed electronics open source platform (http://www.ynvisible.com/printoo).

Printoo is an Arduino compatible platform to bring everyday object to life, to experiment new materials and create amazing interactive devices. 

        

ISORG has developed the Magic Slider and the Magic Twist integrating plastic photodetectors for hand proximity detection and motion detection. Functionality is based on detection by printed photodetectors of infra-red light reflected by the hand  (emitted by low profile LEDs mounted below the plastic surface of Magic Slider and the glass surface of Magic Twist). This demonstrator illustrates applications of organic photodetectors for innovative user interfaces based on touchless interaction and gesture recognition for connected objects and home appliances. It also illustrates robust usages of user interfaces based on optical detection (working with surfaces covered by water and grease) for industrial applications.
It also illustrates the organic electronics integration with plastic and glass materials.

 

 

ISORG has developed the Magic Pad, the first multimedia tablet with 3D interaction by optical detection.  

The Magic Pad includes a matrix of 100 printed photodetectors detecting change of light at the surface of the tablet.

The Magic Pad received the international award of Observeur du Design in 2011, the OSEO Innovation award (France) and the Elektronik Magazine Award for Sensor products (Germany).

The Magic Pad demonstrates the various potential innovative functionalities enabled by integration by organic photodetectors in display, glass surface or plastic surfaces :

ambient light measurement for display luminance control

proximity detection with Z detection for multimedia interaction (sound, zoom-in zoom-out on Google Maps)

gesture recognition for multimedia interaction (on/off, files navigation by swap detection, gaming)

scanning surface with caracter recognition

3D interaction with graphics (for game and professional applications)
